Course Synopsis

This fall, members of the University of Washington School of Dentistry faculty will offer an intensive five-day lecture series on current clinical concepts in orthodontics. The enrollment is limited to maximize the learning environment, allowing the participants to interact closely with some of the leading orthodontic clinicians and researchers in the United States. In the past, speakers have included Anne-Marie Bollen, Geoff Greenlee, Roy Gunsolus, Greg Huang, Don Joondeph, Greg King, Paola Leone, Greg Vaughn, Doug Ramsay, Robert Little, Ward Smalley, David Turpin, and both Vince Kokich, Sr. and Jr. Topics will reflect the current clinical and research interests of the faculty, and will include topics such as 3D imaging, evidence-based orthodontics, ortho-perio issues, interdisciplinary treatment, open-bite, deep-bite, TADs, corticotomy, access to care and managing white spot lesions.

Prerequisites:
All attendees must have completed a formal orthodontic program of at least 2 years duration.

Refund, Cancellation, and Waiting List Policy: A participant may cancel at any time. Tuition, minus a $250 processing fee, will be refunded up to two months before the program begins. If a cancellation occurs less than two months before the program begins, a refund, minus a $250 processing fee, will be given only if a replacement for the withdrawing registrant can be found by the CDE office. The University of Washington accepts no responsibility for travel expenses or penalties incurred by course registrants in the event of course cancellation or revisions in the schedule. A complete refund will be granted to attendees if course participation is not sufficient. If the program sells out, those applications received after will be put on a waiting list in the order received. If a spot does become available, you will be notified. Those on the waiting list will be given first priority the next year. No payments will be processed unless the individual is accepted into the program.

Tuition: $4,000 (U.S. funds payable by check, money order, VISA or MasterCard only.)
Tuition for the course includes continental breakfast each morning; refreshment breaks; at least two hosted dinners in specially selected restaurants; and all course materials. Course fees will be used to cover the costs of the course, and could include, but not necessarily be limited to, any or all of the following expenses at the discretion of the Director of Continuing Dental Education: advertising, audio/visual aids, supplies, room rental, handouts, food service, alcoholic beverages, dinners and social hours.

Credit Hours: Thirty-five credit hours of Continuing Dental Education and AGD credit will be awarded upon completion of this course.

Some of these hotels may offer University discounts. Let them know you are attending a course at the UW. The University hotels are fifteen minutes north of downtown and twenty-five minutes from Sea-Tac Airport. Participants must make their own hotel reservations.

Most hotels remain at capacity year round in Seattle, so please make your reservations as soon as possible.
