Service: Clinical practice limited to periodontics
My research focuses on the integrity of the clinical trial evidence that guides dental and oral health care. Some published trials contain data patterns that are unlikely to arise in a properly conducted study, and when such trials are pooled in meta-analyses, they can distort the evidence behind clinical guidelines. I develop and apply statistical methods to identify these trials. I also study how these trials affect clinical recommendations.
