Projected program cost and fees are estimates only and are subject to annual review and change. The estimates of annual living expenses in Seattle, Washington for graduate and professional students enrolled for four quarters are provided by the Office of Student Financial Aid. The UW campus has limited dormitories or other housing accommodations. Ample numbers of apartments and rental homes are available in the immediate area. Most require a six to twelve month lease and a security deposit. Payment of all annual UWIDDS program costs and fees is required for continued enrollment in the program.

FINANCIAL AID

Acceptance into the UWIDDS program is not a guarantee of eligibility for financial aid. Financial aid is available only to US citizens and permanent residents. Foreign applicants on nonresident visas are required to provide documentation from a financial institution that monetary support will be sufficient to ensure completion of the program.

ELIGIBILITY

To qualify for financial aid, you must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, be admitted to the University in a degree granting program, provide financial information by submitting a FAFSA, demonstrate financial need, not be in default on a previous student loan or owe a repayment on a grant, and be making satisfactory progress toward a degree.

APPLICATION PROCESS

All students who anticipate a need for financial aid must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually. You will need a FSA ID number from the Department of Education to Create an account.
