The University of Washington’s Doctor of Dental Surgery (UW’s DDS) program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). UW’s DDS program is designed to meet licensing requirements in the State of Washington. Although specific licensing requirements vary by state, the required education leading to licensure in almost all states is graduation with a DDS or DMD degree from a CODA accredited program. University of Washington has not done a comprehensive analysis of licensure requirements in states other than Washington and encourages applicants to review information provided by each state’s dental licensing board.
If you plan to work in a state other than Washington after completing a UWSOD DDS or post-doctoral certificate program, we have prepared the following information on other states, where we have not yet determined whether or not the UWSOD program meets requirements.
This information is accurate as of March, 2024. We will review and update this information annually.
