Dr. Qari earned her dental degree from King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia, where she practiced as a general dentist for five years. She then returned to the United States and earned a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry. Her academic credentials also include a Master of Science degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education from the West Virginia University School of Education.
Before joining the University of Washington School of Dentistry, Dr. Qari served for seven years at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry as director of the Biopsy Service. During her tenure, she successfully expanded the service’s reach from a state-level operation to nationwide coverage. Dr. Qari later joined The Ohio State University College of Dentistry before taking on her current role as an associate professor and director of the Biopsy Service at the University of Washington School of Dentistry. She brings nearly a decade of experience as a board-certified oral pathologist.
Dr. Qari is passionate about educating future healthcare providers and is dedicated to expanding the Biopsy Service to benefit communities across Washington, the Pacific Northwest, and beyond. In her spare time, Dr. Qari enjoys staying active through yoga, paddle boarding, and hiking, and cherishes time spent sharing good food with family and friends.
