Keep your toothbrush from becoming a petri dish

toothbrushes in jar

Did you know you should always replace your toothbrush after you’ve been sick? Otherwise, you can reinfect yourself with the same germs.  It’s also important to regularly change your toothbrush every two months.  When the bristles wear down, toothbrushes are less effective at removing plaque.  More plaque = more bacteria.

Stop by the IMA on Tuesday, January 10, 3:00 – 5:00pm* to pick up a free toothbrush and toothpaste from the School of Dentistry, and learn how you can become a patient at the UW Dentistry Faculty Practice, an in-network dental provider for ISHIP, GAIP, and many other insurers, conveniently located right here on campus.

To make a dental appointment with the Faculty Practice, call 206-685-8258 or See all our clinics here.
