Keep your toothbrush from becoming a petri dish

toothbrushes in jar

Did you know you should always replace your toothbrush after you’ve been sick? Otherwise, you can reinfect yourself with the same germs.  It’s also important to regularly change your toothbrush every two months.  When the bristles wear down, toothbrushes are less effective at removing plaque.  More plaque = more bacteria.

Stop by the UW Benefits Fair in the HUB on Tuesday, October 25, to pick up a free toothbrush and toothpaste from the School of Dentistry, and learn how you can become a patient at the UW Dentistry Faculty Practice, an in-network provider with the Delta Dental PPO, conveniently located right here on campus.
