Ms. Phillips received her BS at the University of Washington (1982) graduating from the School of Dentistry’s Degree Completion Program for Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists. Ms. Phillips also completed a master’s in public administration (MPA) from the University of Washington’s Daniel J. Evans School of Governance & Public Policy (1985).
Ms. Phillips was the Director Health & Safety for the School and was an active member on numerous committees including the Dean’s Leadership Council, SOD Curriculum Committee, Dental Admissions, Health & Safety, the Clinical Services Committee and was a member of the SOD Safe Start Team and COVID Task Force.
She has had the honor of serving on the Dean’s Search Committee and is a past representative of the University of Washington’s Faculty Council of Faculty Affairs. She also served as the School’s practice management ‘Thread Champion’.
Sandra has been a member of AADS/ADEA since 1997; Her activities included: a poster presentation at the 74th annual session entitled ‘Outcomes Comparison of Solo-Practitioner and Group Practice Care Delivery Models’; participation in the Legal Special Interest Group at the 77th annual session ‘Providing Patient Care: Legal rights and responsibilities of the Dental Education Institution; in 2006 she was appointed as the Western Regional Chair of the Clinic Administration Section for ADEA and served as the Section Secretary in 2011, and Section Chair from 2012-2014 and was the Section Councilor elected in 2021.
