
Dr. Tucker completed his dental degree at the University of Washington (1976). He has been in private practice in Bellingham, Washington since 1976. Dr. Tucker has been an affiliate faculty member since 1999 and joined the department as a part-time faculty member in 2025.
Dr. Tucker serves as the course director for the Cast Gold Restoration selective course during autumn and winter quarters. He is also the co-course director for the Advanced Restorative Dentistry selective course in the spring quarter and serves as a clinical attending for third- and fourth-year dental students in the Restorative Clinic.

Dr. Tucker has an interest in fly fishing, sailing (he has twice skippered a 33-foot sailboat to Hawaii in the Victoria to Maui Yacht Race), mountain climbing (including five peaks over 18,000 feet), ice climbing, and skiing.
