Clinical Assistant Professor, Endodontics


Dr. Derrick Wang received his bachelor degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside.  He went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine in 1997.  Dr. Wang completed a general practice residency at York Hospital in York, Pennsylvania.

During the first 10 years of Dr. Wang’s professional career, he maintained a private practice in aesthetic and general dentistry in York, Pennsylvania, and remained on the medical staff at the York Hospital and Apple Hill Surgical Center where he performed dental rehabilitations under general anesthesia.  He is the past president of York County Dental Society.

After 10 years of practicing general dentistry, Dr. Wang returned to his alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, to complete his specialty training in Endodontics.  He received the Louis I. Grossman Award in 2009.   Dr. Wang has taught at the Penn Dental Microscope Training Center where dentists from around the world trained in micro-endodontics and microsurgery.  Dr. Wang relocated to Seattle and opened an endodontic practice in Redmond, WA in 2009.  He continues to maintain his appointment as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania, Endodontic Department.  In 2016, Dr. Wang joined the faculty at the University of Washington, Department of Endodontics.
