UW Dental Academy

The UW Dental Academy is a free, multi-session program hosted by the UW School of Dentistry’s Office of Educational Partnerships for high school students in Washington State who are interested in exploring careers in oral health.

What?

This program offers students the opportunity to:

  • Learn directly from dental student mentors, faculty, and practicing community dentists
  • Interact with professionals across the dental field, including lab technicians, hygienists, assistants, and specialists
  • Gain hands-on experience and insights into various oral health career paths

Who Can Apply?

Open to high school students in Washington State. A cohort of 50 students will be selected based on their application, personal statement, and a reference.

Program Timeline 2026–2027
