Course Description
This is a clinical elective for students that affords the opportunity to see and work with patients actively undergoing cancer therapy; specifically hematopoietic cell transplantation. Students will work closely with the FHCC Oral Medicine clinical faculty and staff relative to diagnosing and managing transplant patients with a wide range of diagnoses and in all phases of transplant. A wide range of oral and dental complications are likely to be experienced. Students will be working directly with attending to examine patients as wall as participate in treatment.
*Schedule can vary, as long as 10 clinic sessions over 10 weeks are covered.
