Course Overview
Student get hands-on experiences in current global oral health projects, and are introduced to partners in international health care systems with the goal of learning about social, political, cultural, behavioral, and economic factors influencing dental public health in developing countries.
Learning Objectives
The student who successfully completes this course will be able to:
- Describe phases of global oral health research projects targeting developing countries.
- Identify factors related to the success of inter-professional collaboration at international level.
- Analyze oral health program outcomes.
- Characterize their cultural competence and knowledge of developing countries.
