Course Description

This course is intended to provide insights into providing restorative restorations that are esthetic and have long-term predictability. Whether you are a recent graduate still learning how to master single tooth dentistry, or have taken numerous continuing education courses, and would like to provide more comprehensive treatment to your patients, this course will offer something for everyone.

Course Objectives:

As a result of attending this course, you will be able to:

  • Evaluate the patient comprehensively, starting with proper data collection
  • Analyze the patient’s occlusion to avoid catastrophic failures
  • Plan for treatment comprehensively, utilizing an interdisciplinary approach
  • Learn simple tips for predictable everyday restorative dentistry

Instructor

Dr. Jae Seon KimJAE SEON KIM is a board-certified prosthodontist practicing in Seattle, Washington. He first started his teaching as a full-time assistant professor at Augusta University, Georgia.

Dr. Kim belives in lifelong learning and regards lecturing as a tool to communicate with other dentists and lab technicians. Through these efforts, he hopes that all participants can take another step towards mastering their craft.

Dr. Kim received his MSD degree and a certificate in Prosthodontics from the University of Washington and is an affiliate assistant professor in the Restorative Department at the University of Washington.

Registration

Simply register online. You will be directed to UW CDE’s secure online registration. Register for “Treatment Planning for the Daily Practice: From Simple to Complex”. You will receive an emailed confirmation letter with a link to the video. An online exam will be sent upon viewing the whole video. Once you have passed the exam, UW CDE will email you a certificate of completion certificate will be emailed to you automatically. You will have until June 30th of the current CDE course year (September – June) to complete the training.

  • If you do not complete the training by June 30th of the current CDE course year (September – June), you will have to sign up for the course again. No refunds will be given for online courses.

Washington State Dentists and Online Course Materials

Please note that per WAC 246-817-440-4bi, while there is no longer a limit to the number of hours Washington State dentists may take for continuing education provided online, please note that for pre-recorded or other forms of non-live presentations where there is not an instructor presenting in real-time and able to respond to questions in real-time, thirty minutes will count for every one hour completed for this type of activity.
