Course Description
Surgical placement of dental implants have become a significant part of many dental practitioners, specialist and generalists with all surgical procedures that can be risk of complications. However, with recent technological advances in imaging and planning, those risks have been significantly reduced to the point that failure to employ such systems is being considered evidence of substandard care. 3D imaging is directly affecting the recognition, management, and treatment of complications. This program will provide current information on the evolving standards for treatment planning, imaging, recognition and management of complications.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, participants will:
- Demonstrate the evolving standards of care for surgical planning of the placement of implants to avoid or minimize complications.
- Utilize protocols and systems for the early evaluation of post implant placement complications, injuries, and application of technology.
- Describe and Institute timely patient management of postsurgical implant complications for improved outcomes and malpractice claims avoidance.
