This course is part of the Association for Continuing Dental Education Joint Live Webinar Series*
Course Description
This webinar is designed to provide participants with an evidence-based overview of biologic agents utilized in periodontal and peri-implant regeneration. The course will review the biologic principles of wound healing and tissue regeneration and examine currently available biologic materials, including platelet concentrates, enamel matrix derivatives, growth factors, and soft tissue biologics. Emphasis will be placed on the clinical application of these materials in the management of periodontal defects, gingival recession, ridge preservation, implant site development, and peri-implant tissue regeneration. Clinical case presentations and a review of current literature will be incorporated to enhance participants’ understanding of appropriate case selection, surgical considerations, and techniques associated with achieving predictable clinical outcomes.
Course Objectives
As a result of attending this webinar, you will be able to:
- Review the biologic principles associated with periodontal and peri-implant wound healing and tissue regeneration.
- Identify commonly utilized biologic agents and discuss their indications, advantages, and limitations in clinical practice.
- Discuss evidence-based applications of biologic materials in periodontal regeneration, soft tissue grafting, and peri-implant therapy.
- Evaluate clinical decision-making processes and treatment planning considerations for regenerative periodontal and implant procedures.
