Dr. Dogan holds a DDS (1991) from Ankara University Dental School in Turkey . He is also the recipient of a Doctor of Medical Dentistry (1998) degree from the Medical University of Hannover in Germany.

Dr. Dogan’s principal areas of scientific interests are the biocompatibility of dental materials, especially in bacterial and mammalian cell culture systems, as well as microbiology, histology, pathology and immunology of oral tissues.
Awards and Professional Service
Dr. Dogan has held faculty appointments as an Assistant Professor at the Medical University of Hannover Dental School in 2000 and 2001. He maintains memberships in the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), the German Society of Dental Oral and Craniomandibular Sciences (DGZMK) and the German Society of Dental Implantology (DGI). He holds dental licenses in Germany and the state of Washington . He was awarded the Best Dissertation of 1998 award by the German Society of Periodontology.
Dr. Dogan’s personal interests include classical and world music, movies, and outdoor activities (especially running and biking).
