Dr. Sadr is a Clinical Associate Professor at Department of Restorative Dentistry, Director of Operative Dentistry Pre-clinical Training and Associate Director of Biomimetics Biomaterials Biophotonics & Technology (B4T) laboratory at University of Washington School of Dentistry. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in Cariology and Operative Dentistry at Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU).
Dr. Sadr holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the National University of Iran (SBMU) and a Doctor of Philosophy in Dental Science from TMDU, where he received advanced clinical training in restorative dentistry, focused on bonded restorations.

Dr. Sadr maintains a faculty practice at the University of Washington School of Dentistry and has been a member of the American Dental Association, International Associations for Dental Research (IADR), International Academy for Adhesive Dentistry, Academy of Biomimetic Dentistry, and other professional organizations.
Dr. Sadr has authored and coauthored over 160 full-length peer-reviewed research publications, and been invited to speak at several dental conferences and schools worldwide. He has received external funding for his research from national and international organizations in the United States and Japan. He has also served as a reviewer in the fields of dentistry, materials science and optics including Journal of Dental Research, Dental Materials, Journal of Dentistry, Dental Materials Journal, Journal of Biomedical Optics, Journal of Adhesive Dentistry and others.
Dr. Sadr has supervised postgraduate students and post-doctoral researchers in various institutions including UW (B4T) and TMDU in projects that have brought his group domestic and international scientific awards, including five consecutive outstanding research prizes in adhesive dentistry. In 2019, Dr. Sadr was acknowledged by the class of 2021 with the 2nd Year Faculty Award.
Dr. Sadr has a background in campaigning for social justice and experience in media and information technology. He enjoys reading, learning languages, music, outdoor activities, skiing and travelling with his family.
