Course Overview
This selective course in Advanced Restorative Treatment aims to provide pre-doctoral dental students with practical experience in the specialty of Prosthodontics, introduce them to a 3-year residency training program in Prosthodontics, and expose students to the treatment of complex patients.
Learning Objectives
The student who successfully completes this course will be able to:
- Describe good diagnostic and treatment planning practices.
- Explain how the scientific dental literature influences treatment decisions and treatment prognosis.
- Describe the laboratory components of advanced restorative treatment.
- Manage patients with complex restorative needs.
- Identify cases requiring complex prosthodontic care.
