Course Overview

This selective course in Advanced Restorative Treatment aims to provide pre-doctoral dental students with practical experience in the specialty of Prosthodontics, introduce them to a 3-year residency training program in Prosthodontics, and expose students to the treatment of complex patients.

Learning Objectives

The student who successfully completes this course will be able to:

  1. Describe good diagnostic and treatment planning practices.
  2. Explain how the scientific dental literature influences treatment decisions and treatment prognosis.
  3. Describe the laboratory components of advanced restorative treatment.
  4. Manage patients with complex restorative needs.
  5. Identify cases requiring complex prosthodontic care.
