Course Description

This lecture explores the new era of athletic mouthguards—where protection meets precision and performance. Participants will discover how digital scanning, CAD/CAM workflows, and 3D printing have transformed the design and fabrication of custom mouthguards, offering superior fit and reproducibility. The session also highlights the integration of biometric sensor and chip technology within mouthguards, enabling real-time monitoring of impact, hydration, respiration, and other performance metrics. By blending digital dentistry, materials innovation, and sports technology, this course showcases how modern mouthguards have evolved into intelligent tools that enhance both athlete safety and performance insight.
