Elizabeth Velan , DMD, MSD

Graduate Program Director for Pediatric Dentistry


Dr. Velan is the Graduate Program Director for Pediatric Dentistry and Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Washington. She is the Chief of Education and Resident Training at Seattle Children’s hospital, where she focuses on medically complicated and craniofacial patients.

Dr. Velan is a reviewer for Practical Reviews on a monthly basis with an emphasis on dental materials. She is an AAPD board certified pediatric dentist whose certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).

Dr. Velan is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentists, Special Care Dentistry, American Dental Association, Washington State Dental Association and King County Dental Association.
