Course Description
This course is a joint venture between The Washington State Academy of Pediatric Dentistry Foundation and UW CDE. The goal is to provide community dental care providers with knowledge that will better enable them to care for the pediatric patients in their practices. Drs. Nelson and Wilson will discuss key components of the pediatric dental care provider’s toolbox including:
- Behavior guidance techniques to facilitate quality dental care
- Practical prevention pearls that really work
- Tips to improve outcomes in pediatric restorative care
- Key aspects of managing dental trauma
Instructors
Travis Nelson completed his dental training at Loma Linda University and his pediatric dentistry training along with a Masters of Public Health at the University of Washington.
Joe Wilson completed his dental training at Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health and his pediatric dentistry training at the University of Washington.
