UW to present major global health study

The UW’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) will present a review of the largest-ever epidemiological analysis of levels and trends in health on Monday, March 11, at 4 p.m. in Hogness Auditorium in the Health Sciences Center.

School of Dentistry faculty, staff and students are invited to attend the presentation on the Global Burden of Diseases, Injuries, and Risk Factors Study 2010 (GBD 2010). It will be led by Dr. Christopher Murray, director of IHME, who will examine some of the five-year study’s major findings and opportunities for future collaboration.

Those attending the presentation will include UW President Michael K. Young and Provost Ana Mari Cauce, along with Dr. Paul G. Ramsey, CEO of UW Medicine, and Dr. Howard Frumkin, Dean of the School of Public Health. The lecture will be followed by a reception.
