Students, faculty members and staff are warming up to represent the School of Dentistry at this year’s Seattle Rock ’n’ Roll Marathon, which takes place on Saturday, June 22. This year’s team is also bolstered by runners from University Presbyterian Church.
As they have done since the race’s inception, our runners will participate to raise money for the Access to Dental Care Fund, which supports dental student volunteer activities and treatment for people with limited or no access to care. Pledges for individual runners are welcomed, or checks may be written to the UW Foundation (with “Access to Dental Care” in the subject line). Checks should be sent to Glenn West, Associate Director of Advancement, UW School of Dentistry, 1959 NE Pacific St., HSC B-471, P.O. Box 357137, Seattle, WA 98195-7137.
The team still welcomes runners, but new entries will have to register on their own through the marathon’s website. However, the team also welcomes anyone who would like to come out and lend vocal support – those cheers and applause really help! In addition, there’s still a need for drivers to shuttle runners around.
If you’d like to help the team, contact Heidi Sarff, Class of 2015, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 425-985-5508.
