The University of Washington Graduate Orthodontics program consists of eleven quarters of academic course work, clinical training, and research experience, leading to a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) and/or a Certificate in Orthodontics. It is structured as a 33-month program, beginning Summer Quarter (mid-June).

  • Five students are accepted each year.
  • Eligible applicants hold a DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental college in the US, or its equivalent from a foreign institution.
  • This school does not offer a PhD in Orthodontics. It is possible to combine Orthodontics with a PhD in Oral Health Sciences. Contact the Department of Oral Health Sciences for information on the PhD program.
