Undergraduate Opportunities

The Department of Oral Health Sciences encourages undergraduate students to become involved in student research and directed studies.

OHS 449, Directed Study in Dental Public Health Sciences, offers students and faculty with common academic interests an opportunity to pursue them together.  Undergraduate Research Topics in Oral Health Sciences, encourages undergraduates to become involved in student research opportunities and to learn current laboratory techniques which will prepare them for future advanced research.

If you are interested in either of these courses, you must first identify a faculty mentor.  You can read about each faculty member and their academic and research interests on our website.  You should then contact the faculty member directly to see if they have any current openings for students and set up an appointment to meet with them.  If you receive permission to take the course, please email ohsgrad@uw.edu for an entry code.
