Dean Joel Berg will present a keynote address on “A process for engaging others in interdisciplinary research and commercialization” at the School of Dentistry’s Research Day on Friday, Sept. 21.
Dr. Berg’s talk at 8:15 a.m. in Health Sciences T-625 will be followed by other presentations from UW faculty:
- Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering Eric Seibel, PhD, will talk about the scanning fiber endoscope and its applications in dentistry.
- Dr. John Wataha, Chair of Restorative Dentistry, will discuss research on titanates he has conducted with Dr. David Hobbs at Savannah River National Labs.
- Dr. Avina Paranjpe, Assistant Professor of Endodontics, will discuss her research on endodontic materials.
Poster presentations in the South Campus Center lobby from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will follow the morning’s presentations. Dental students in summer programs will present their research, and faculty and graduate students are also invited to present posters.
Classes and clinics will not be held that morning, so all faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend.
Those who would like to present a poster but have not yet filed an entry form are urged to do so as soon as possible. Abstract entry forms are at https://catalyst.uw.edu/webq/survey/dentres/173581.
