Course Description

*PLEASE NOTE: This course presently runs from August 3 through September 14, the schedule varying from year to year. DDS students register summer quarter only, and will finish the week before orientation (in September). Grad students (GPR, Endodontics, Oral Medicine and Periodontics) register for summer quarter through their program coordinator or administrator.

Intensive review of major organ systems, including normal anatomy and physiology, common pathophysiologies, medical interventions including detailed reviews of pharmacologic agents and current therapeutic procedures. Modifications necessary for dental treatment and medical emergency management are also detailed. Punctuality and attendance to 90% of the lectures is required.
