School announces leadership appointments

Dean Joel Berg has announced three leadership appointments at the School of Dentistry. Dr. John Sorensen of the school’s Department of Restorative Dentistry faculty has been named Associate Dean for Clinics, Dr. Daniel Chan has been named chair of the school’s Clerkship Committee and director of the Operative Dentistry clerkship, and Robert Wanezek, now Revenue Cycle Director, will become Assistant Dean for Clinical Services.

Dr. Vincent G. Kokich, one of the School of Dentistry’s most illustrious alumni and among the world’s pre-eminent dental educators, passed away on July 24 after collapsing at his home in Gig Harbor, Wash., apparently from a heart attack. He was 68.
